Shahnameh silk scarf

This silk scarf features the scene ‘The Battle of Pashan Begins’.

In this scene, after a one month truce, a battle has ensued between Giv and Faribuz. The Persians fight under the red banner of Kava, the symbolic apron of the blacksmith who rebelled against Zahhak.

Maison Nazanin was founded by Iranian-born designer Nazanin and London-born economist Adam in 2024. Their collections of silk scarves are inspired by Persian painting, drawing and poetry and also feature Nazanin’s own designs. This scarf is taken from the collection ‘Inspired by Persian Painting’.
