Shahnameh bag

This bag from Ador Style features images from the story ‘Esfandiyar’s Fifth Ordeal; He Must Slay the Simurgh’.

The images are based on a folio of the Shahnameh of Shah Tahmasp, currently held in The David Collection.

In order to slay the Simurgh, Esfandiyar makes a carriage with blades. After the Simurgh has wounded itself, Esfandiyar jumps out to kill the bird.
