This scarf is produced using the image of the illustration from the Shahnameh manuscript commissioned by Shah Tahmasp (f. 300v). depicting the first meeting of the Turanian Princess Manizheh and the Iranian knight Bizhan.
The original painting ‘Bizhan Receives an Invitation through Manizha's Nurse’, is attributed to ’Abd Al-Vahhab. It is currently held in The Metropolitan Museum of Art. © MMA 1970.301.42
